Review of Disqus

In August 2012, Hightechholic.com decided to give Disqus a chance and this is maybe one of the best decisions we made.

What is Disqus and how to install Disqus?

Disqus is a commenting service. After you install it, it enables to users to comment through it. Through this comments and shares, Disqus brings traffic to your blog/website. In some cases it can bring you a lot of traffic, but it pretty much depends from your content.

Installation of Disqus to your website or blog nowadays is a easy thing. After you "Sign Up", go to Admin, find Settings, and just bellow the Settings there is "Install". Select it and choose for which platform you want to use it: Blogger, Wordpress .. etc. And you are done.

Benefits from Disqus?

- Traffic to your site/blog. Hightechholic has received significant amounts of traffic since joining Disqus. To be precise, around 50,000 views came from this commenting service.

- Easy moderation of comments. The moderation of comments is very easy and efficient. You can track people who left comments by IP and email, detect spammers, put certain people on blacklist etc.

- You can make money with Disqus. Yes, it's possible. You won't became millionaire, though. Disqus pays you if some visitor of your blog open a post from the "Recommended for you sections". That are posts from other website that advertise on Disqus.

- Disqus is developing and has authority.  The fact that they are entering the world of advertising tells you that they are raising as a company. Disqus is used by roughly 750,000 web site and blogs, and, also, this platform has some serious users like CNN, Daily Telegraph, IGN and Wired.

- Other.
