Deron Williams signed his $98 million contract on an iPad!

Deron Williams, the star of the team from Brooklyn, has signed a contract worth $98 million on an iPad. Williams is probably the first basketball player who had signed a multi-million contract with a finger, and is the first time we see contract with such high payment to be signed on an electronic device.

Of course the NBA star immediately twitted this.

I must admit this is interesting way of signing a contract. Although still far from revolutionary this move shows growing confidence in the digital signature. Will the future bring us state agreements on iPad or any other tablet or smartphone? It's hardly likely, politicians are more conservative and they stick to the tradition, though some have already embraced this trend, like the Norwegian prime minister.
