Review of ASUS X54C

If you looking for a great notebook for a reasonable price then maybe the best solution is the model X54C from the Taiwanese multinational company ASUS.

I needed a notebook who'll be fast, simple, and which I'll use for work mainly, but also for playing games and entertainment. I searched the computer market in my country for one month, as I was limited with funds and I needed something affordable, but good.

Long story short, ASUS X54C was the best solution! Why? It was 50 euros cheaper from all the other models in his class, and it had 2 GB RAM memory more. Also my X54C has 2 years warranty (notebooks from other brands, besides Dell, didn't have warranty).

Specifications:

Processor:

Intel® Core™ i3 - 2350M CPU @ 2.30 GHz
Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor
Intel® Celeron® Dual-Core Processor

Memory:

DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, 2 GB, OnBoard Memory, 1 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 6 GB SDRAM
DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, 4 GB, OnBoard Memory, 1 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB SDRAM

Display:

15.6" 16:9 HD (1366x768) LED Backlight

Graphics:

Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 3000

The bold specs are the configuration I got. Asus X54C also got all the other normal features like HDMI port, and USB 3.0 port which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0.

Stuff i like:

1. The IceCool Technology. The notebook rarely gets hot, and that is because of the exclusive dual-sided motherboard design that places hot components on the underside and away from users.

2. The touch pad. It has the best and most sensitive touch pad that I ever used. I always used mouse on other lap tops I had, that is not the case with X54C.

3. Power 4 Gear - Manual adjustment of the computer speed which enables you to safe battery life.

4. The graphic card and the memory enables me to play my favorite games like PES 2012, NBA 2K 12, Need for Speed etc.

5. The notebook comes with a dvd disc in which ASUS put all of the needed things for the computer to work neatly. There are some cool features like Face LogOn, Sonic Focus and Instant On.

Stuff I don't like are little. I don't like that there are only two USB ports and that computer is a bit slow when it is in Battery Saving mode (which is normal).

So that's it. If you have the same needs as me, and the simmiliar budget like me (I bought it for 400 euros) don't hesitate to buy this nice and great notebook.
