Half of the USA market belongs to Android

As expected, according to the research group Nielsen, Android and iOS are holding 86% of the market of smartphones devices in the United States.


According to these data, Android has also grown and now has 51.8% of the market, while iOS is holding 34.3%, states PCMagazine.

From the devices using Android, the best selling company is Samsung, who takes 17%, or one third of all phones sold with this operating system.

In third place is RIM, the company which produces the BlackBerry, with 8.1%, while the phones with the Windows platform are holding only 4.3% of the smartphone market.
