Xperia Sola - the new Sony smartphone with floating touch navigation

As you know there is no more "Sony Ericsson". Sony bought Ericcsson, so now the name of mobile units will be just "Sony".

One of the newest products from this company is the Xperia Sola smartphone. Its best feature is the floating touch navigation. This feature enables you to move through the options, or surf the Internet, without touching the screen. The only thing you do is to putting your finger right above the screen and move it in certain directions.

Xperia Sola works on Android 2,3. The Ice Cream Sandwich will be available in the summer. This smartphone features: 3,7 inch screen, 854 x 480 resolution, 5 megapixel camera, 1GHz dual-core processor and support for NFC.

Xperia Sola will be available in the second quarter of 2012. You can choose from three colors: black, white and red. The price for this smartphone is not know yet.

I think this smartphone is far bellow the leaders in the industry, iPhone 4S and Galaxy S II, but with reasonable price it can be successful in some markets, especially the European.
